Finally a 'Find Light' Fill-In
Steve here! I figured it’s better late than never to write up a little post about how ‘Find Light’ came out a few weeks back. I’m sure you’ve just assumed we’ve been too excited to draft up a proper update - let’s go with that!
So, as you’ve likely seen across our social media, our third album is out there in the world! It was a busy January leading up to the release - especially our release shows on 1.23 at Mercury Lounge in NYC and 1.25 at Hidden Grounds in New Brunswick (check out their special ‘Find Light Roast’). We’ve been thrilled by everyone’s response to the album so far, and are thankful for your support in sharing the music with your friends and family.
Since the release, we’ve been setting up shows over the coming months (shameless plug for our Tour section right up there). We actually just got back from a weekend in Boston today, where we’ll be headed again in March, and we also have some special NYC shows coming up that we’ll be announcing soon. But, while we have those shows set up, we’re definitely open to suggestions for other places/events to visit/perform at. We’d love to be able to play for as many listeners as possible over the rest of the year + beyond!
Other exciting news is that we’re going to begin shipping vinyl out there soon - we had our first-ever physical vinyl sale last night in Boston, and we’re really proud of how they turned out. Brian even lent a hand or two with the special limited-edition colored vinyl by mixing in the colors, so, just like any CWC product, it has that extra special level of Curry Care™.
Anyway, if you haven’t yet heard ‘Find Light,’ there’s plenty of time since it’ll be out there online pretty much forever. We also have some exciting music videos in the works (a medium we haven’t done as much with over the years), so stay tuned!
Hope you’re all doing well!
P.S. I’ve been listening to Talos and RY X’s latest albums ‘Far Out Dust’ and ‘Unfurl’ a lot lately, highly recommend. If you find yourself at AURORA’s NYC show next month, Talos is opening, and I’ll be there in the crowd somewhere!
